On and Off-Hire Survey

A Vessel On- and Off-Hire Survey is an independent and systematic inspection carried out at the start or end of a charter period to establish the vessel’s technical, operational, and general condition.

The survey covers hull, deck equipment, machinery, cargo systems, and relevant operational aspects, with findings documented through detailed observations, measurements, and photographic evidence.

The purpose of the survey is to provide a clear and objective baseline of the vessel’s condition, identify existing defects, damages, or deficiencies, and verify compliance with charter party requirements.

By clearly defining the condition at handover, the survey protects the interests of both owners and charterers, supports transparent allocation of responsibility, and significantly reduces the risk of disputes related to damage, maintenance, performance, or redelivery condition.

Asset Management

Vessel Asset Management focuses on the structured management of a vessel’s technical, operational, and financial assets throughout its lifecycle. It ensures that ships are operated safely and efficiently, in compliance with class, flag, and regulatory requirements, while maintaining asset value and controlling lifecycle costs.

Effective vessel asset management integrates condition monitoring, maintenance planning, technical inspections, dry-docking strategies, and performance analysis. By aligning operational decisions with longterm asset integrity and commercial objectives, vessel asset management helps owners and operators maximize reliability, minimize risk, and extend the economic life of their fleets.

Performance & Load Testing

Vessel Performance & Load Testing verifies that propulsion, machinery, and onboard systems operate safely and efficiently under defined operational loads. Testing provides documented evidence of performance, identifies deviations or inefficiencies, and supports class, insurance, and asset-management requirements by establishing a reliable baseline for future operation and maintenance.

Towage

Marine towage is the act of towing vessels or other floating structures using one or more tugboats or other powerful vessels. This is often done to move ships or other large objects that cannot move under their own power or to assist them in maneuvering in narrow or confined waterways.

Marine towage is commonly used in many industries, including shipping, offshore oil and gas, and construction. Tugboats are typically used for marine towage because of their powerful engines and specialized equipment, such as towing winches and bollards.

Marine towage requires a skilled crew that can safely and effectively operate the tugboat and handles the towed vessel or object. The crew must also have knowledge of local water conditions, including tides, currents, and other potential hazards.

Sales & Purchase Survey

A marine sale and purchase survey is an inspection of a vessel conducted by a marine surveyor to determine its condition and value. The survey is typically carried out when a person/owner is considering buying or selling a vessel, boat, or yacht.

During the survey, the marine surveyor will assess various aspects of the vessel, including the hull, deck, superstructure, engines, electrical and plumbing systems, and navigation equipment. The surveyor will also look for any signs of damage, wear, and tear, or maintenance issues that may affect the vessel's seaworthiness and value.

Once the survey is completed, the surveyor will prepare a detailed report that includes a description of the vessel's condition, any defects found, and recommendations for repairs and maintenance. The report can be used by the buyer or seller to negotiate the sale price and/or to determine whether any repairs or upgrades are necessary before the sale can be completed.

Overall, a marine purchase and sale survey is an essential step in buying or selling a vessel, as it helps ensure that both parties are aware of the vessel's condition and value and can make informed decisions about the transaction.

Pre-Purchase Survey

A Vessel Pre-Purchase Survey is an independent and comprehensive assessment of a vessel’s technical and operational condition prior to acquisition.

The survey evaluates hull, machinery, systems, and equipment to identify defects, deficiencies, and potential risks. The findings provide buyers with a clear understanding of the vessel’s condition, supporting informed decision-making, valuation, negotiation, and risk mitigation before the transaction is completed.

Inspection of Goods & Material

Survey and Inspection of Goods & Material provides an independent verification of the condition, quantity, and compliance of goods and materials during manufacture, storage, transport, and delivery. Inspections identify damage, defects, or non-conformities, ensuring that materials meet contractual, technical, and regulatory requirements. This service supports quality assurance, reduces commercial and insurance risk, and provides clear documentation for owners, contractors, and insurers.

Risk Management & Risk Management Framework

Vessel Risk Management is a structured process for identifying, assessing, and controlling technical, operational, and commercial risks across a vessel’s lifecycle. Using a defined Risk Management Framework, risks are systematically evaluated, prioritized, and mitigated through practical control measures, documentation, and follow-up. This approach enhances safety, protects asset value, supports compliance with class and regulatory requirements, and provides owners, operators, and insurers with a clear basis for informed decision-making.
